FAQs

Can we drink alcohol on board Brewbus?

No, under New Zealand law we are not licensed for consumption of alcohol on board our vehicles. It is an offence under s38 of the Summary Offences Act 1981 to drink alcohol aboard our passenger carrying vehicles and our driver/guides will refuse you entry should you attempt to do so.

Can we purchase alcohol to take home?

Yes!! If you taste something that you really love and want to take some home then you may purchase alcohol directly from a venue with an appropriate off licence. Most venues will sell take away bottles (flagons or growlers) if you don't have one...just no drinking on board Brewbus at all!

Can we be picked up or dropped off somewhere different to the pick up location?

Yes, alternate pick up and drop off locations (such as hotel) can be arranged within 8 kilometres of the CBD (or by arrangement for private groups over 6pax), just contact us in advance.

Can we get tour add-ons or make requests to visit particular breweries?

Yes! Send us your idea and we can customise a group tour to suit your taste buds and budget (subject to brewery availability).

What time do the tours start and how long are the tours?

Tours vary in start time and duration depending on the product and region. Details are outlined on the product page, but if you need more information just send us a message.

Does Brewbus brew beer?

No, we prefer to specialise in taking you the customer on an experience, to visit our local spots and to meet our local brewers. They are the experts!

I do not have a Covid-19 My Vaccine Pass, can I still go on a beer tour?

Currently as per Government requirements passengers do not require a My Vaccine Pass.
